USARA LICENSE:

USARA licenses are required for participation in the Big Blue Adventure Series.  You will need to present your USARA license or purchase a USARA license at team check in on Friday, May 27th or Saturday, May 28th.  Cost is $8 for 1 day membership, $35 for 1 year membership – CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

GEAR UPDATE:

We are providing all teams with inflatable kayaks, paddles and life jackets.  You are welcome to bring and wear your own life jacket if you choose.  SPRINT participants are required to use the paddles we provide.  SIX (6) hour racers may bring and use their own paddles.

The river water is cold as usual! Therefore, come prepared with a long sleeve fleece (technical wear for warmth), light weight long sleeve top and waterproof top outer layer, jacket or shell to keep warm.   If you have a wetsuit bring it, wear it.  The point here is to bring the appropriate clothing/gear you will need to keep yourself warm.  Additional dry garments are highly recommended to change into after your river stage.

The weather looks good for the race and we should have a warm day.

And don’t forget to stick around after the race to celebrate your adventure with all of the post race festivities.  You won’t want to miss the Big Blue BBQ, raffle prizes from Merrell, Salomon, Helly Hansen and more!

If you have any additional questions, log on to www.bigblueadventure.com or email us at info@bigblueadventure.com.  We look forward to seeing you on race weekend!
