Volunteers:

We need volunteers! Hey if you can recruit a friend or family member to volunteer as a course marshal you can earn race credit towards a future event.  And the volunteer will receive event SWAG, food and beverage. Please email angel@bigblueadventure.com if you can help!  We have a few camping sites available for volunteers on Friday night.

7 hour race Quagga Mussel Inspection

This year at many California reservoirs, lakes, and rivers you will be required to have your boats and kayaks inspected for Quagga Mussels.  This is the case at Lake Del Valle.  There is a Quagga Mussel inspection area and you are required to have your kayak inspected.  The cost is $3.  IMPORTANT:  Make sure your boat, paddles, PFD, etc, are clean and dry or you may not pass inspection.  Plan to arrive early to take care of your inspection.  Here is a link to more info http://www.ebparks.org/invasivemussels

NEED A KAYAK?

Do you need a kayak for the long race?  There is a rental available at Lake Del Valle by Sunrise Mountain Sports.  Call 925-477-8330 to reserve.
