Gold Rush Summer Challenge Adventure Race

Come join us for a day of Adventure Racing in the heart of California's Gold Country.

This is a collaborative effort between Gold Rush AR and Big Blue Adventure.

The Gold Rush Adventure Racing Summer challenge is coming up soon. Based in spectacular New Melones Lake near Sonora you can compete in the 6 hr Summer Challenge or 2 hr sprint race. The event is Sunday June 3, 2012 with refresher courses and activities on Saturday June 2 to help everyone get ready. Join us in the group or individual camping at Tuttletown on Saturday night. The race will include Orienteering, Trekking, Mountain Biking, and Paddling along with beautiful scenery. Mountain biking is nice single track, hiking is hilly with wooded and open terrain. Paddling is flat water.  The race is appropriate for beginner Adventure Racing teams as well as more experienced teams.  Teams are 2 - 4 person or solos.  Map and Compass only, no GPS allowed.
