Never done an Adventure Race but you'd like to give it a try?
Veteran racer but want to tune up your skills?
Try our sprint adventure races! These are ideal for the beginner adventure racer, while still providing a challenge to you veterans. Designed for finishing times of 2 to 4 hours, this is a great way to give the sport a try or introduce a friend to lots of fun. This race will take place at the same time and place as our 12 hour race. Your entry includes pre race clinic and a Q&A session hosted by some of the best AR racers in the sport. These veteran racers will give you race strategies and tips in these sessions.
Showcased against the dramatic backdrop of the California Coast and the intensity of the Pacific Ocean, the Ocean Blue Adventure Race is staged near the communities of Half Moon Bay and El Granada in the Pillar Point Harbor area. Home of the infamous Mavericks surf break which boasts the toughest surf contest in the world, kayaking the Pacific in this area is exhilarating. But fear not, the giant waves of Mavericks only come out of hiding in the winter months. You’ll have the experience of paddling with Maverick’s little sisters- calmer, gentler, summer waves. Biking and running amongst manzanita and eucalyptus trees, sandy beaches and bluff tops with outstanding ocean views, this is truly the most beautiful adventure racing experience.
Pack your flip flops and board shorts. Bring a beach blanket if you like. Half Moon Bay, a quaint California Beach community, offers a unique and challenging coastal adventure for all that is just 30 minutes south of San Francisco.

Come on out and to see how you look in orange!
