Deep in a valley framed by oak-covered hills, with sailboats and sailboards skimming over its waters, Del Valle is like an alpine resort only 10 miles south of Livermore.

The Del Valle Adventure Race uses the lake, its various inlets, and rolling hills to create a diverse and challenging course. The rolling hills in the region make for quite a few climbing opportunities via foot or on mountain bike.  As for navigation, using the lake and various terrain features are the best way to orient oneself and find the checkpoints.  Be ready for a beautiful and challenging course.
