Thank you for registering for the Folsom Lake Sprint Adventure
Race. Please read this carefully
and share it with your team.
ADDITIONAL GEAR:
Plan to bring some type for water proof/resistant long
sleeve top to wear during the kayak stage. We also recommend you bring a warmer fleece type long sleeve
layer.
WEATHER:
It looks like the day could be partly cloudy so plan to
bring appropriate warm (layers) so that your racing experience is comfortable.

DIRECTIONS:
From 50:

Exit on Douglass Blvd and head east
á
This leads
you into the Granite Bay Area of Folsom Lake Recreation Area
á Once inside the park continue until you
see the Granite Bay parking area on your right. Then look for the Big Blue Adventure Sign or Banner.

Turn right onto Douglass Blvd. approximately 10 miles
á

USARA LICENSE:
USARA licenses are required for participation in the Folsom Lake
Adventure Race. You will need to
present your USARA license or purchase a USARA
license at team check in on Saturday 4/3/2010. Cost is $8 for 1 day membership, $35 for 1 year membership
– CASH OR CHECK ONLY.

hosting a Q&A session at 8:00 AM Saturday morning.

Mandatory Gear:

proof/resistant long sleeve top for kayak stage

Bike
á Helmet
that meets the ANSI or Snell safety standards
á Food and
water you'll need and a way to carry them for a 2-4 hour race
á Back pack
or some way to carry running shoes while on your bike
á Pen (to
write on your passport)
